FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP
There are countless creative ways for your business or organization to become part of the Noisy Waters Mural Festival—and we’re all ears. Whether it’s in-kind support, sponsoring a standout event, commissioning a prize wall mural, or backing the festival as a whole, your involvement helps transform Bellingham into a more vibrant, art-filled community. Let’s make something memorable together. Email info[at]noisywatersmuralfest.com or fill out or contact form to connect with our team.
In-Kind Support
From feeding volunteers to beautifying the festival grounds, in-kind support helps make this festival possible. Please reach out with ideas specific to your business.
EVENT SPONSORSHIP
Each of the events that make up the festival can be sponsored. By choosing a specific event or aspect of the festival (i.e. Bar, Fashion Show, etc.) to sponsor, you can reach your target audience more directly and create a sponsorship that fits with your mission.
PRIZE WALL SPONSORSHIP
Invest in the creative culture of Bellingham by sponsoring a prize wall. Imagine your space transformed into a bold, story-filled piece of public art… a backdrop for photos, a stop on the mural tour, a daily moment of inspiration for the community. Prize walls beautify your building and make a lasting impact. Jump to Prize Wall Sponsorship.
WHOLE FESTIVAL SPONSORSHIP
As a non-profit, Paper Whale relies on our generous community sponsors to back this beloved annual festival. Whole festival sponsorships are available at varying levels so you can get eyes on your business or organization in the ways that matter most to you. View our sponsorship tiers below, with additional information and benefits available upon request.

PRIZE WALL SPONSORSHIP

2023 2nd Place Prize Wall | Sponsored by Chuckanut Builders at 1000 N State Street | Art by Emily Beaudoin of Calgary, Canada
HAVE A BLANK WALL IN NEED OF SOME COLOR?
We’re always on the hunt for standout prize walls—and your building could become the next landmark. Walls must be:
• Large + highly visible
• Downtown or centrally located in Bellingham
• Ready for paint and possibility
HOW IT WORKS
The Paper Whale team will walk you through the logistics of commissioning a mural, including: investment, time, festival voting, and working with an artist on the final design, but here's the gist of it:
-
Commit to sponsor a prize wall at a set dollar value depending on the size on your wall (example: Grand Prize mural commission for $20k)
-
8 artists compete during the Noisy Waters Mural Festival weekend
-
The public votes for the winning artists, which are announced on the final day
-
You are paired with a winning artist (walls are awarded by size, i.e. Grant Prize winner receives largest wall)
-
Collaborate with your paired artist on the motif, colors, and final design of your mural
-
Artists return the following summer to paint their murals
